About Bagalkote District

The Baglkote District is carved out of the earlier Bijapur District on 15th August 1997 which is located in the northern part of Karnataka. It has 9 blocks viz. Bagalkote, Badami, Guledgudda, Hunagund, Ilkal, Mudhol, Jamakhandi, Rabakavi-Banahatti and Bilagi. Bagalkote district has 623 revenue villages and It has been divided into 2 sub division i.e. Bagalkote and Jamakhandi for the administration purpose. Sugarcane is the major crop and there are 15 sugar factories in the district. Pomegranate and Sapota are major horticulture crops. It is also famous for handloom, mining, granite industries.

About Bapooji Multistate Credit Co-Operative Society

 The Bapooji Multistate Credit Co-Operative Society Limited, Navanagar , Bagalkote has started functioning independently with effect from 13-03-2008 with founder President Shri S R Patil. In the general body meeting held on 11-09-2022 it was unanimously resolved and approved to function as Bapooji Multistate Credit Co-Operative Society Limited, Navanagar, Bagalkote, the Co-Operative Society is presently having net work of 61 Branches. The Co-Operative Society is fully functioning on Computers.
